Told guy I was in love with him.
we talked a bit about it but he doesnt say how he feels.
we dont talk for a few weeks.
Expectations. Expectations. Expectations.
Forget "in love". Forget "in a relationship".
This is the truth:
Do i love talking with him? probably more than anyone in my life ever.
Do I think he is a tremendously interesting loving and giving person? yes. absolutely.
Do I know he needs his independence and freedom? yes and I need mine.
This is love.
What do I say to him? What is he going to say to me?
Don't talk about "love". Express what you feel without the word "love".
"Love" as a word has a bunch of built-in expectations. Worse, the expectations are different for every single individual. The word "love" can serve as a catch-all, after you've resolved the expectations. But until then, be specific about what you feel, what you want, why you care.
An argument is two people sharing their ignorance.
A discussion is two people sharing their understanding, even when they disagree.
