    Someone make me coffee.
    You hem me in -- behind and before;
    you have laid your hand upon me.
    Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
    too lofty for me to attain.

    @Nicodemus What a deeply unpleasant man. He must be a blast at parties. Is that just part of his stage persona, or is he really like that?

    Also, I agree that Clarkson is an insufferable, arrogant lummox, but that's what makes him entertaining. I actually really like James May, though. He's like an amiable, hare-brained uncle who's always happy to show you his stamp collection.

    It is an act. I take it you did not watch the whole video, because it is quite obvious. I find him very enjoyable.

    I've caught an ep or two over the years, but I'm more familiar with his appearances on Q.I. (British show hosted by one of my favorite humans, Stephen Fry). There was a particular ep in which Clarkson talked about his experience in Amsterdam of sleeping with a prostitute there in such strange, matter-fact-way, causing some chair shifting. I got the impression that there's something a bit off about him, besides just his persona.

    Mr. Fry admitted he is always sure that Clarkson is never on at the same time as certain other people who who might start a row with him.

    I watched the whole thing, but I didn't really enjoy it. Then again, I don't find vitriolic ranting very funny, except in small doses. Angry comedians just annoy me, and that seems to be his entire schtick.

    @Qlip I adore Stephen Fry. QI is finally coming to BBC America, and I cannot wait.

    But do I really need a book on human anatomy?

    Do I really need a book?

    I need a sword.

    He does a variety of things, almost all of which involve toying with the audience.
