    I doubt it.

Ahahaha! I think Gregory Peck was older than McConaughey is now when he played Atticus.

A year or two ago I would have thought this was crazy to the point of being hilarious. But post-"True Detective" I actually think McConaughey would be an excellent Atticus.

Hailee Stenfield and John Malkovich are probably both too old for those roles, but I could see them working if younger, and if Malkovich did his best to not be campy.

@EJCC Malkovich was pretty great as Lennie in Of Mice and Men.

That's true. I do have a hard time seeing him in a role where all he is allowed to do is stand there and subtly emote.

IMO I think someone like Joaquin Phoenix would be a perfect Boo. Someone who can tear your heart out just by looking at you.

The sequel is set 20 years after the events of To Kill A Mockingbird, not when Scout is 20 years of age. Scout was 6-9 years old in To Kill A Mockingbird, so in Go Set A Watchman she should be about to turn 30.

If a film adaptation is to be made of Go Set A Watchman the actors playing the parts should look about 30 (Scout), 50 (Boo) and 65 (Atticus).

(Not 18 (Hailee Steinfeld), 61 (John Malkovich) and 45 (Matthew McConaughey).)

I know he's not old enough, but I'd like to see Kevin Spacey as Atticus. Or maybe Gary Sinise.

Neither of them are as tall as Gregory Peck was, but oh well.

I would tread very carefully in the first place before making a film adaptation of a sequel to To Kill A Mockingbird, but if I absolutely had to choose...

Perhaps Carey Mulligan as Scout, Mads Mikkelsen as Boo and... I'm not sure you could ever find an age-appropriate actor with the gravitas of Gregory Peck to play Atticus. Jeff Bridges, maybe? :/

Can Liam Neeson do a Southern accent? He's about the right age. Also: GRAVITAS.
