    There is too much truth in it for it to be a satire. I have not read it in Italian, but if the German translation I read is any indication, it is worth reading for its dense yet lucid style alone.

    I liked Roger Ebert immensely and had tremendous respect for his knowledge and writing, but I didn't need to see him post-thyroid cancer surgery with his entire lower jaw removed; that's just gross.
    If bees did go extinct, we could always hire people to dress up as bees and pollinate flowers with tiny feather dusters. Sure it'd be more expensive, but there are also millions of idle teens.
