I lean toward 'no'. That's just a messed up sleep schedule. A nap is seems to be more defined by duration. In architecture school, I would occasionally pull all-nighters before big reviews but would take half-hour naps from, say, 4:00 to 4:30 AM or something.
Your kisses, sweeter than honey. But guess what, so is my money.

Do you ever wake up from those feeling more tired than you did before you went to sleep?

Yeah, all the time, its possible to over sleep, then if you've got a lot of stress or guilt trip yourself for the time you've spent sleeping it only adds to it.

What I find odd is.. If I go to sleep at 3am and wake up at 7am.. I wake up tired, no doubt, but I can function right away.
However, if I go to sleep at 3pm and wake up at 7:30pm I am groggy for the next hour, even though I slept longer than I did in the night.

I think it has something to do with entering REM or the overall sleep cycle. I think your brain really only sinks into rehabilitation for a fraction of when you're asleep.

Good analogy for why you can't just throw money and manpower at a problem to solve it faster: "You can't make a baby in one month with nine women."

Edit: That's not to say I wouldn't enjoy giving it the old college try.
