    That is not very specific for an ideal. Millions meet these criteria.

    I believe his appeal to straight men has something to do with his role in Mad Men. They want to be him and, failing that, want to be with him. Or something along these lines.

    if you move a little closer, i'll tell you what's my aim.
    You hem me in -- behind and before;
    you have laid your hand upon me.
    Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
    too lofty for me to attain.

    I have stood in front of him for months. Today I noticed @riva for the first time:

    I like the fact you can't like your own posts. it's the forums way of saying nicely or passive agressively* we do not allow overt narcism on here.

    Lol, I'm not even gay but I do believe the appeal is rugged yet sophisticated. Plus silent strong type.

    I think this Reddit AMA on the psychology of self-deception would interest quite a few people here, like myself. Tune in later for answers.

    Personally, it's a subject that has been burning my brain recently.

    reddit has a lot of cool things, though I don't really go there and i've never joined. I'm more of a lurker on that site.

    I don't think i'm morally superior to anyone, i didn't realize people thought that.
    My second area focuses on moral character. It may not be a surprise that most people think of themselves as morally superior to everybody else, but do note that this result is neither logically nor statistically possible. Not everybody can be superior to everyone else. Someone, somewhere, is making an error, and what error are they making? For those curious, you can read a quick article on our take on false moral superiority here.
    I'll probably add more of my thoughts as i go

    This is really interesting, the kind of thing I obsess over perhaps a bit too much with regards to the assumption that I am obviously guilty. But then that might be it's own ignorance.

    Anyhow thanks, I'll have a more in-depth read of this when I get some time.
