Today one of my papers was given back to me. The marker recognised and valued my hard work whereas my friends (fellow markers) couldn't appreciate it because they didn't understand it. After all those days pondering on whether I should dumb it down for everyone else... I almost hugged it!
A year ago today, I was in my third mental hospital.
Now, i'm 17 going into my senior year of high school ON TIME...30 pounds slimmer, Performing improv in the city, completed three college classes doing dual enrollment, and getting my license in December.

If someone of either gender reacts to being outperformed with little passive aggressive gestures...that's why they don't have the authority that the other person does. They're proving that they are exactly where they belong.
Annoyed with this lately in a couple people I work with.
I know! I totally agree.
I mean, the sad thing is that these men are *really* great. They are amazing at what they do. They get threatened by women they don't actually need to be threatened by which makes it obvious that it's really just insecurity. It doesn't help them, and it doesn't help the people they treat poorly. What a sucky situation.
