    I always wonder at the notion of ruling the world.

    To me no statement more perfectly captures the desperate insecurities of those who cannot bear to be out of control in any situation.

    I perceive it as better to lead the world or guide it. Semantically people think ruling is the same, but functionally it's not, it's about enforcement and domination, often to self-destruction.

    Frankly though, if someone wants to rule the world they're welcome to it. In the end most implode in on themselves.
