The sodium content at McDonalds is frightening:

    1. Big Mac - 900 mg sodium
    2. Quarter Pounder with Cheese - 1100 mg sodium
    3. Bacon Clubhouse Burger - 1470 mg sodium
    4. Premium Crispy Chicken Classic Sandwich - 990 mg sodium
    5. Buffalo Ranch McChicken - 980 mg sodium
    6. McRib - 980 mg sodium
    7. Premium McWrap Southwest Grilled Chicken - 1280 mg sodium
    8. Bacon Clubhouse Crispy Chicken Sandwich - 1720 mg sodium
    9. Chicken McNuggets (20 piece) - 1800 mg sodium
    10. Mighty Wings (10 piece) - 2900 mg sodium

I realize that you need seasoning but there are seasonings and flavors besides salt. This is why we have so much hypertension and type 2 diabetes in the nation. It's not just McDonalds; Subway's menu is similarly drenched/soaked, steeped in sodium. You only need about 500 mg of sodium per day.
Don't hate me because I'm right and you're not.

I haven't kept up with studies the past few years, but not long ago, it was being said that low sodium diets don't prevent hypertension, but are used to manage it.

That is correct; it's the combination of low sodium and high potassium that prevents hypertension.

An imbalance due to a high sodium diet results in calcium being drawn into the cells and when the cells are the muscle cells of the small arteries, the higher Ca content results in contraction of these small arteries; hence hypertension.

Me: "he (my dog) totally has bad breath lately. We'll have to remedy that somehow."

    My 8w7 Dad: "Bullet?"

This is normal, yet he actually loves my dog.

Read the following quote word-for-word and see if you can pick up another meaning:

"It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything." - Joseph Stalin
