Huh, I took the day off and it only took 30 minutes to do my taxes. I'm used to these epic filings involving depreciating specific square footages of my residence.

Wella, I've got a project in the works. I'm going to start looking for parts and start designing... and also pay bills. *yawn*

They have given it to me for my twin daughters. So not really to me at all, but to me for them. (But the book is a novelty to me as I didn't grow up in the US and have never seen it before).

When I have asked what the story means to them, they have all replied with some variation of "that's how love is". And yes, disturbing is the perfect word. It makes me wonder and fret a little for the hearts of the friends who have given this book to us.

I spend an enormous amount of energy fighting down impulses. I feel like I'm going to be torn apart from the tension of it.

Just one more assignment. Just. One. More.

That's what I have to keep telling myself. *mutters*

I wonder if urban pigeons that dine on bread crumbs, french fries, and cookies are as healthy as country pigeons that feed on worms.
If bees did go extinct, we could always hire people to dress up as bees and pollinate flowers with tiny feather dusters. Sure it'd be more expensive, but there are also millions of idle teens.

Perhaps it can be measured in the health of rural hobos who dine on pigeons, relative to urban hobos who dine on pigeons.

I'm not sure we can trust hobos to only eat pigeons. They're probably dining on possums and squirrels as well.
