Okay... for the entire morning and afternoon, I've been getting these strange sharp pains in my head, followed immediately by this intense dizziness that lasts for 2 seconds. I don't know if it's because of my tendency to oversleep nowadays or what - but it's starting to scare me a little.

I came to this coffee shop to get some work done but apparently I needed a power nap bc I just had one for ~20 min.

    Ha oops...!

Do you have health insurance? There is usually a number you can call and they'll tell you whether to go to ER/urgent care/Dr office ASAP/wait and see if it goes away, etc.

But it sounds like something you should check in about.

I'd definitely go get it checked. Better safe than sorry when it comes to strange pain.

It might be a prodromal symptom of a vestibular migraine coming on, but it could be a host of other things, too, I'm guessing vascular (but I'm pulling that outta nowhere /not a doctor).

All the more reason to get someone to take a look asap. Peace of mind is worth it, right?

    Good luck.

I had just been reading exchanges taking place in the comments section of an article, in which people were opposing the civil war (and more specifically the Union's role in it) from what they claimed to be a libertarian position. They were apparently too hung up on the idea of the federal government intervening to bother considering whether or not abolishing slavery was worth it. They were a bunch of historical revisionists to boot.

I am appalled when anyone claims to believe in liberty yet supports (even if only tacitly) the institution of slavery.
    Go to sleep, iguana.

Thanks guys, I'll look into it.

For now the pain is mostly gone (I had slept it off), though I still feel a light throbbing in the same place - we'll see if it comes back with a vengeance.
