    For the love of the English language, it's "I feel bad," not "I feel badly." Feeling is a subset of being; just as we wouldn't say a person "is badly," we shouldn't say a person "feels badly."

    I could say "I feel badly" if I meant that my ability to feel was impaired in some way.
