Obama's big speech in Berlin. A hot summer day.
Germans (with whom he has an 80% approval rating) are anxious to hear about about the state of German-American relations. There has been lots of talk recently about America no longer valueing the friendship between the two nations.
And what does the man do?
He starts his speech by taking off his jacket, wrapping up the sleeves of his shirt and inviting everyone to do likewise: "After all, we're among friends here!"
The crowd goes berserk.
Politics - it's all about the gestures, folks!
