    Apparently it is

I can't say I remember much of young adulthood though, so so much for a contrast!

You do realize that you're preaching to the former choir, don't you?

Good news for you... It really DOES get better!

though that required me stepping way outside of my comfort zone on a few occasions and looking for other paths that weren't expected of me...

I just noticed that a friend-- someone I'm friends with in real life-- unfriended my on Facebook. Presumably because of our differing political views and my refusal to engage when he attacks me for my beliefs. Wow. That's really disappointing. I never once commented on something he posted that I disagreed with... only deleted offensive or unkind things he said in response to some of my political posts. I would have been well within my rights to unfriend him, but I simply restricted the posts I saw from him and custom-shared posts, sparing him seeing things of mine I knew he wouldn't like (or really, sparing me the nasty comments). Perhaps it is for the best, but I am kind of hurt that even though I remained totally civil over all this and he definitely did not, I am the one to be unfriended.

Now when I see him at Fest in a couple of months, I'm not sure how to act.
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

Awesome! I suggest getting really good and then installing a puppet government and letting me have a department... Without having to see puppets (which scare me )
