    Quite true.

    “LAW 38
Think As You Like But Behave Like Others

If you make a show of going against the times, flaunting your unconventional ideas and unorthodox ways, people will think that you only want attention and that you look down upon them. They will find a way to punish you for making them feel inferior. It is far safer to blend in and nurture the common touch. Share your originality only with tolerant friends and those who are sure to appreciate your uniqueness.”
― Robert Greene, The 48 Laws of Power

Every situation and person is different . . . and part of the challenge for me is this dance/question of what presumptions are necessary to form an intelligent thought.
"My comrades and my beloved, upon your way you shall meet men with hoofs; give them your wings. And men with horns; give them wreaths of laurel. And men with claws; give them petals for fingers. And men with forked tongues; give them honey words." --Kahlil Gibran, The Garden of The Prophet

I like it when I think something wrong . . . but I guess only when I realize it was wrong as it allows me to inspect what lead me to the wrong conclusion. I find that in doing so I figure out how my brain is working in general. Typically, right answers are boring, but so are completely wrong ones . . . but answers that are close are interesting, because then you can probably single out the factors that your brain was honing in on that were actually irrelevant. If you just assume it's a fluke that it was wrong then you can assume that those are the types of things that your brain uses to make decisions on a day-to-day basis when it's not getting stuff wrong. I also am craving pickles.

I just wrote the steamiest, smelliest pile of poo last night. If you read it your eyes would bleed. Here's hoping I don't fail!

Deadline end-of-day Thursday. The next four days are not going to be fun.

A friend of mine just confessed to adopting a baby kitty. This wouldn't be a problem if

    you know

    she didn't have 5 already--
    people who expect a change
who can't throw away their humanity
    who stay idle in growth
    who won't dirty their hands
those are the most terrifying of monsters

I can't believe Kidd Rock even exists. There must be a mistake.
