Why is it almost always the attractive people that say, "looks don't matter"?

Same reason why people who say "money doesn't buy happiness" tend to have money.

I have known her since I was a little girl, but I wasn't especially close to her, no. My poor bestie, though... she has now lost both her parents to cancer. I knew this was coming, but it was kind of sudden and I'm in a bit of shock. I'm so thankful she has a loving wife there to support her.
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

haha noticed that too. I am guessing, ignorance of what benefits those things have brought them so it's normalized? To an extent. "money doesn't buy happiness" and "looks don't matter" are true but it's kind of funny/ironic to hear it from people who actually benefit from them.

So what you're saying is... having money of your own would make you happy?
