    For some reason I'm overcome with the thought, "did I really have the highest grade in the class?"

    I DIDNT DO ANYTHING IMMORAL TO GET IT.

    If it was curved, it was curved out of kindness, genuine affection.

    That's still nicer than someone giving me a beating for my math grade.

    Maybe that was the point.

    I question myself now. I never questioned it before. But I know how it must look to outsiders, "yes we were buddies, and that's the first A I made in math since jr.high!"
