Not shutting down. Again, you're misunderstanding the intent behind my words. I wasn't telling you to do anything- you took it upon yourself to assume this. I made a sidenote of my own perspective, which, apparently struck a cord with your sensibilities. Probably a Ti/Te mismatch in thinking vs intent. I felt I was joining in on a discussion, not "shutting it down," merely because my own pov might have some opposition to yours. Debating points of view, etc, is part of provocative thinking, yes? I think I'd like a bubblegum cigar.
Actually there are bubblegum cigarettes out there, with a layer of powdered sugar around the gum/between the paper to emulate smoke.

Nawh dont agree, you're rationalising and spinning pretty quickly there but its pretty clear the message you were sending with the post.

American forum for American poster? Didnt think that's what TypoC was but anyway. Maybe just have to agree to disagree on that.

I think I'd know my own intentions behind my words better than you might, haha.
You were responding to a post by an American. I was pointing out the potential reasons behind your differing pov. Location may be a rather significant factor, given the subject matter, but that in no way means your point of view is less valuable.
Sheesh. The self righteous indignation's getting old.

I don't think she meant "if you're not American then STFU." But I agree with her- race issues are really a lot different here than they are there, so that's worth noting. I've not met a lot of Europeans who really fully grok American race relations without spending a lot of time here. Nor Americans who fully grok European ones, without spending a lot of time there.

I'm not sure why, but I want to meet Alex. Likely I have already met him.

Please send me a message, Alex...I want to know you.
