IMO the "Mistyped Members" thread is a glorified bash thread, letting people talk about their prejudices towards another person -- disguised as cognitive functions.

    smh

You could be right, there's a lot of bad typology on the forum though, Solitary Walker posted a good thread about it.

I like to read it because people are putting so much information up about themselves when they discuss others and dont realise they are doing it, its very easy as a result to draw conclusions about posters, who else on the forum they are linked with, their triggers, their old or freash antagonism and hostilities, how they rationalise themselves and others.

It all fits Eric Bernes The Games People Play better than it does MBTI that thread.

And the best part is that they think they know you from that little tidbit of info you put about yourself + how you come off on forums and proceed to assign a label.

It does not account for other aspects about yourself which may rise in different situations (not limited to forum impressions or activity). We're all just different faces at different times.

    Oh, Jesus Christ.
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

People sure do have a way of trying to 'justify' their own impressions using something that's at least remotely objective--whether it be a model or framework, a set of absolute moral principles, or a set of laws. Moreover, they don't know they're doing it and outright refuse to believe that they are.
