I thought the updates was every time it's down for maintenance, i.e. every 2 days. My misunderstanding then.

Maybe. I wouldn't have known the difference to be honest.

I really, really wish someone would clean up the huge pile of spew on Cedar Ave that I've almost stepped in two mornings in a row...
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

Lacan defined melancholy in two ways.

1.) Mourning for the eventual future loss of an object before it is lost
2.) Mourning loss of desire for the object

Mourning loss itself is sadness and not melancholy.

Zizek recalled talking to Slovenian exiles to America and they said that their sadness when they left was not for leaving their country, but for the thought that one day they would forget it. I 100% agree with that definition!

Just interviewed a woman for my company. She's telling me about how great she is with color.... while sporting hot pink eyeshadow applied up to her eyebrows.... and there is a dark purple line that I *think* was supposed to be an accent to define the crease but instead just looks like she has black eyes... in the wrong spot for getting a black eye.... And the entire effect was just so hypnotizing... Fortunately, I was supposed to be looking in her eyes because I couldn't look away.

And she is another person to make me realize how little I actually do talk in general. I asked one question about what days she is available and I got her life story instead. She also disclosed that since she is out of a job she spends all of her time in her pajamas and her new (third) husband (DAFUQ?!) was happy to see that she was wearing real clothing today.

    I just, I don't even.
