Tonight I met my folks for dinner and attended an enjoyable performance of A Christmas Carol at the theater where my dad ushers. On the way there, I listened to "Superhero" by Jane's Addiction and felt invigorated by the night and the city lights. On the way home I listened to Enigma's "Return to Innocence" and Bush's "Letting the Cables Sleep." Excellent soundtrack to an excellent evening.
(I do feel bad that my poor spouse was home sick, but is it so wrong that I did enjoy the chance to exercise total control over the music?)
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.
