For any football ("soccer") fan, it would really piss them off for their team to play one of its home games in another town, let alone another country!
It's a little strange, but I understand it from a business perspective. They want to extend to Europe and try to gain interest there. Some say they think London could have a team in the next decade.

I think that's going to make for some rough travelling. Time zone changes like that will fuck the players up.

But European football leagues were trying to do the same over here. A few years back they started a big push to get more Americans into soccer. I think they especially tried to use David Beckham as their 'face' for that.

I think it would be neat to have more common ground with Europeans in regard to sports. If more Americans get into soccer, and more Europeans get into American Football... Could be cool.

I'm guessing that only America has Chinese food that gets delivered to you in the middle of a historic/dangerous monster hurricane!

(though that may not actually be true; I don't know how Chinese food delivery is in other countries)

Maybe the hurricane will get me off the hook for writing my paper due tomorrow. Somehow I doubt it.

    On another note:

That's not a "random thought" at all... Unless you're like really way off in your own world and had absolutely no awareness of your surroundings or are in a coma or something and someone's got like electrodes on your head connected to type c posting your thoughts.... In which case the news on the news on TV in your hospital room probably just seeped into your subconscious and made you think about rain, which would still be entirely relevant.
