Ok, one by itself is actually kind of cute. When I was small I used to name them and keep them as pets.

    However, now they swarm...

to where this is what the outside of buildings look like when they face the sun in autumn:

Our building faces south and so we get a lot of them on the outside of the building at this time of year. Trying to exit and enter is to one's own peril. They land on you and get in your hair and other things. It's just horrific.

    the end.
What do the neighborhood pets do?

"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... Some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age. While I find society as a whole entertaining, politics are a subject I will likely forever be unknowledgeable in. There's no sense of the concrete in it, like trying to pin down an amorphous blob of gelatin.

Perhaps that is what draws people in. I'll stick to ignorantly despising conservative thought and blindly following whoever promises me cheap pudding.
