People are going to look back at the 2010s as the year that everybody's house was decorated with light blue walls and brown/tan furniture much like the way people see the 70s for the orange, brown, and gold decor. But what kind of reflection of culture is color combination in the home? Earthen tones denoting a desire to return to a more natural phase of life? Blue being a serene color, mimicking the hues of a sky, plus tan/brown being a natural shade.... some sort of going against the grain of mechanization of society? The home being a source of natural serenity and escape. People with busy lifestyles looking to get away from it all. "Lets bring the beach/spa to the home!"
