haha, I figured someone would seriously give your question an answer similar to my joking response.

That example of fake Fe always amuses me. Like what is the point of saying that comment that one doesn't mean when they could pick something else to truthfully comment on or choose to say nothing?

The reality that the majority of people just want to relinquish control and embrace servility has little to do with fascism, you're just godwining any point there was in discussion.

The extent to which libertarians want to reintroduce wage slavery has got to say something, they either see themselves as the slave drivers or dont mind being a slave provided nobody gets benefits. Simple as.

It could be the privatisation of authoritarianism of old but its not fascism.

I'm talking about our good friend Arnold's statement as it stands. The question of whether people want to relinquish control is immaterial--his sentiment is that they need to, whether or not they want to.

I totally didn't intend to be seriously political--but since I wouldn't want 'fascism' to be taken at its more specific political definition since it doesn't apply here, 'authoritarianism' is indeed a better fit.

My reading of it is that people need because they dont want to exercise decision themselves.

    No.
And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country . . . wait, this is 2016.
