    HE'S GOT SPACE DEMENTIA!

Terrible things happen to good people every day.
Consequentially, I am not one of the good people.
I am one of the terrible things.

This has grown out of having to adopt a much more strict diet and exercise regime for myself but it goes beyond this to thinking about planning and what I would consider a fully conscious and conscientious living.
I'm always interested in a good read or two about discipline, too.

This totally isn't going to help at all, I've had luck with some indirect book learnin'. Parts of Supernormal Stimuli would be a good example. That one talks about how, say, fried or fatty food is appealing only because we've exaggerated attributes that we're predisposed to want but are typically rare in nature. Realizing that the appeal is actually baseless makes it less appealing and, bam, instills some discipline.

I've done that, at least I know that drinking nothing besides water and occasionally coffee has been very easy, alternative have no real appeal which has made me think that their appeal had to be about convenience and marketing to begin with.

Your representative owes you, not his industry only, but his judgment; and he betrays, instead of serving you, if he sacrifices it to your opinion.

Interesting that you call it "the swivelinglight thread." There were about 35 nearly identical but not completely identical threads. Typically anything that is spammed onto all the forum's subforums (or a version of it is spammed onto all the forum's subforums) is going to be removed entirely.
