It's from the videogame Skyrim. Often when you're walking through cities, guards will say, "I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee." (And in a ridiculous accent.) You hear it so much in the game that people just started saying it over and over. "I used to _________, but then I took an arrow to the knee." Fill in whatever you want.
It's already dying down. That meme peaked already.
“Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside
them they've all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe.” -Neil Gaiman
There's a meme? I didnt know or hear, this is part of the reason I cant think religion or God can be a meme or that memes can even be a decent cultural theory since because it refers to fads which arise and vanish in a blink of an eye
