Patches bear and Mama bear are making hard candy. Om nom nom.
“Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside
them they've all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe.” -Neil Gaiman
There's a picture that's in my head a lot these days. It's my grandmother's house in Finland and I'm standing up on the tiny hill in the tiny forest behind the house, looking down at the corner of the house. It's probably something like 8 or 9 in the evening with the sun going down, but that constant dusk setting in. Golden light. Dark filigreed trees. Knowing there are people down there who love me.
I suppose this is because my mom just sold the house. My grandmother died more than fifteen years ago so it was probably inevitable, but it brought back a lot of memories, some of them sad. It's obviously lingering around right now.
