I really liked his appearance on The Good Wife.
I got my smile from the sunshine,
I got my tears from the rain.
I learned to dance when I saw a tiger prance,
And a peacock taught me to be vain.
A little owl in a tree so high,
He taught me how to wink my eye.
I learned to bill and coo from a turtledove,
And a grizzly bear taught me how to hug.
But the guy that lived two caves from me,
He taught me how to love.

Well, my work for the day is done...
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

It's funny how people are jumping onto the 80s revival bandwagon these days, and I was already in 80s revival (at least musically) before this stuff became en vogue again. Not complaining though, it's nice seeing bits of my own visions turn to reality.

It's almost painful to watch someone be sooooo stubbornly blind to their blind spot and the pain it causes them, despite repeated attempts to point it out.

Makes me wonder exactly what mine is, how I've been ignoring it, and how to distinguish it from the things I'm right about....

I search CDs on Amazon now and they're not available as anything other than MP3 and I get an ad for CD burning software in the bottom banner!

I have very mixed feelings about formally observing the 10-year anniversary of 9/11 at Fest. People go to Fest to escape reality, to go back to a simpler time. Of course we are all sad about 9/11, but an official observance of the anniversary date would be very anachronistic and would kind of kill the festival spirit, I think.

I actually agree with you about this, I do think it should be remembered (and the sorts of rememberance which resonate with me are things like the movie Remember Me) but Ren Fest is not about the present day, I know people who take their re-enactments so seriously that during re-enactments or while on site they wont discuss contemporary news, sport, fashion, anything else but they will talk with encyclopedic knowledge of historical themes as "contemporary" events.

Yeah, there is a 2 for 1 ticket deal this weekend for military and police in honor of 9/11, which I find totally appropriate, but the Festival grounds are not the place for an official observance. Outside the gates, fine. We do discuss contemporary things, but inside the gates needs to be fun and magical, not solemn.
