So, on the spur of the moment, I wanted to find out exactly how common the most common male names in the USA are. So I went to one of those sites that looks up a name and digs through the data and gives you the percentage of the population it comprises. These sites usually also conveniently list the names by what's most common. So I added up the sum of the 10 most common names, and found that 23.185% of American men have one of only 10 different names. Nearly a quarter of men in a country with over 300 million people sharing a pool of 10 names. I frankly think that's retarded. What is the point of a name that cannot be used to identify you? This is why professional business needs to work on a last name basis.

As an aside, I looked up my name and that of my three brothers. The name of my INFJ brother, who is always complaining about how common his name is, turned out to be the least common of our names.
