People can say that the internet kills art. That it's hard to make it anywhere, with anything, because now we are all awesome, talented artists. That no one cares because it's so easily accessible.
If I didn't frequent the online world that I do, I'd agree with them. However, I see where the internet breaths life into art, and new art into itself. I see how it is difficult to be an individual, unless you possess a more eccentric talent, so I see the eccentric talents. I do see how it is easy to be a part of a collaboration that is bigger than just the individual, but makes each individual thrown into a certain spotlight.
As for no one caring, the years have narrowed the scale and technology has broadened the spectrum. What it does is gives us the opportunity to tune into those hidden wonders we may never otherwise see, even if we have to weed through what we might now consider generic talent. I am always amazed. I can only imagine the opague, grey lenses that some people look through. All the while, being aware that I've yet to really break translucency.

It is. I have never seen it at a supermarket anywhere. Must research.

So you've had one? How was it?

Epiphanies can be so annoying sometimes... (not really). I love the rush from epiphanies. :Po

Feynman makes me warm and fuzzy. It's like he's a super-mentor or something. I mean "What do you care what other people think?". <3
Lol, while I do enjoy the ahh moment for a good thirty seconds or so, I have a love hate relationship with epiphanies.

For me they signify one of three things:

    A) that mystery that has kept my mind busy for so long gets wrapped up in one tidy little package and my mind goes silent for a while. This gets causes me to become irritable and restless until I find something new to ponder in the back of my mind.

    B) it signifies the start of an entire thought reconstruction, and that fun little pondering ends up becoming a full on transformation of every thought I have already settled and comfortably, without thinking too much about it, pull from that knowledge at will. This is a huge pain in the ass.

    C) I suddenly realize how all that directive energy I put toward creating something, is inherrently flawed in the long run. I end up losing my passion for everything I previously worked toward. You can't imagine how frustrating that is.

As a result I prefer a nice balance of just mentally floating. Math is incredibly theraputic.

Then again I may be nuts. Or possibly just intelectually lazy.

Anyway, I should check out that feynman guy.

Yes, it was surprisingly plain, like a flavourless kiwi fruit; you should investigate the use of various sauces to spice it up.

I hate initially feeling very good for being diplomatic and courteous in the face of stress and adversity... and then the response is an unexpected kick in the teeth. It's like going to give a dog a treat and having him bite you instead. All that's left at that point is faith in my own motives (and lots of band-aids), even if the help isn't kindly received.

Why do people do crappy stuff to each other? It's not just mean, it's often irrational and serves no good long-term purpose....like cutting off your own hand to piss off your boss because now you can't type as fast as he was demanding. You'd think that if we could just for a second capture how unique and amazing it is to exist, to be self-aware, have volition, experience things in this world, we might stop focusing on abusing others.

I just made someone laugh in my training class, since we're all saving things to a central repository. I posted a fake discussion but changed the words from tech stuf into blueberry scones and tea. I could hear the guys in the back row laughing about it and had to bite my hand so hard I left marks, to stifle my own giggles. My job here is done.
Love this Jen, even though it wasn't intended as inspirational.
