It would be pretty cool if the internet was truly a genderless space, Victor. But people experience gender in the real world, and it shapes the way they are treated and treat others. I don't know how people can drop their life experiences when they sit down at their desks.
But gender should seriously be done away with in meatspace.

The Printing Press and the Internet
Print created the life experience of individuality, linear sequential thinking, and gender roles. And in the internet privacy is over, gender roles are over, and everything happens all at once.
Print privileges the eye and the male gaze, while the internet engages all the senses. And engaging all the senses, leaves behind the objectification of the eye.
Of course as you note, we drive forward looking in the rear vision mirror of gender while the genderless internet rushes towards us through the windshield. And as you notice, you are looking through the windshield right now.

I'm wondering how Pop Rocks would taste on a cake in place of sprinkles?
Would that be too weird? Or would it work somehow? I'm afraid to ruin a perfectly good cake to experimentation..."There is no god; there is only us. Savage and fragile."
