I have a friend who told me she had a lactose allergy when she was a child. In her elementary school all children had to drink school milk, but she couldn't because of her allergy. So her teachers gave her an ultimatum: if she didn't drink the school milk, she wasn't allowed to drink at all at lunch time. Isn't that some sort of child abuse? She couldn't help getting sick from milk. It's like forcing a kid with peanut allergy to eat peanut butter sandwiches or starve all day.
I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower. The TV was obviously on. I used to fly myself and I said, "There's one terrible pilot."
