Sometimes there are issues with unwanted online attention and it helps a bit to fade away.
    Indeed.

My old user name was attached to an account I don't want touched. I couldn't change the name there, so I changed it here. I've been extensively googled before by people in the past (I have no idea why) and I realized that I didn't want my old account name attached to my other activities. Simple as that.

I had to change my old username (ravana) because the real ravana was a nemesis of the Hindu's.

You see how thoughtful I am?

You should probably close your old account and start a new one then. All your quotes etc will still have your old name so it's not hard to do the math.

Not having your pic in your av is a good idea too.

Getting stalked is really creepy and vile. You have my sympathy.

yeah, real stalking, terrifying. I agree on that sentiment, the person has to have some major issues to be that obsessed with another person, since obsession=dangerous possibilities one can assume that the stalker might try to rape the stalkee or kill or get jelous of a stalkee's significant other or even just a friend. If the stalker is that disturbed.

When the fuck do I ever crack lame jokes? :steam:

    .................................................. .......

You should probably chuckle you ass off, because not only ravana is a Hindu nemesis his effigies are burnt and cursed when Rama (the enemy of ravana) is celebrated.

And you should probably check this out.

    WHAT? what IS that?

Morgan - my comments can't be connected back to me. It's all circumstantial with my old name removed. Thank you for your concern and sympathy. I've been astonished at times. In a bad way.

Here is a few reasons people may do so:
    - They want a fresh restart
    - They found a new name that they liked much better then theirs
    - They found out a meaning of their name that ended up making them hate their name
