Oh I've sent blank reps by accident, so was I supposed to explain myself? Slips of the keyboard on occasion.

I sent a blank rep on purpose because it was a post worth repping, except i had nothing further to say... but then over time the person I repped was so curious they contacted me to know what i meant to say. INTJ efficiency FTL. Now I stop and think of something to say when I rep.

Wait... so, if you sent a blank rep, would that mean you liked it, or didn't?

You know, I haven't gotten a blank rep since they turned the boxes grey, and now it's really hard to tell what they mean. It was so much easier to tell when they had the green box or the red box. All my previous blank reps had green boxes. The red ones always had an insult.

For every person who repped me a 'blank' rep after this thread...I, in my niceness glory, returned the favour, except...I did it for random posts of theirs.

    but drew a blank.
    What an absurd notion.

Does this mean our special blog cuddle time is over?

    Edited, as per this evidence:

But, if the reason I get back is............*crickets chirping* or the person is on that level of secure mode that you can't even msg them...then it's like WTF!!! Nah...don't feel bad about it. I hate making INFPs feel bad. Monster me!
If they're curious enough to know, they'll ask. Just answer back, or, have your settings such that one can ask you regarding your 'blank reps'. See response - one above.

Well, mine meant I liked your post.

I hit the "approve" button. You just couldn't tell because the box wasn't green.

I got a blank rep once that I had to rub lemon juice on to reveal the secret message (the instructions were sent a moment later in a new rep comment)

Blank reps are far less confusing than blank Profile Visitor Messages.

If I were to do it, it would mean "+1".

Back in the day reps used to be green, so a "blank rep", unless you selected "I disapprove" to make it red, were positive feedback.

Now, they are just grey, which can be confusing for the newcomer, leaving them to wonder if they are getting a positive or negative pat on the back.
