Same here, and refuse to eat at McDonald's.

In fact, I won't shop at any mid-level or below variety store. Walmart is for the uneducated, unwashed, multitudes.

I refuse to eat at mcdonalds not because I think I'm too good for it, but because the food sucks. If I liked the food I'd eat there.

    1. If I learn a new big word (especially if it's neat sounding or looking) I find a way to work it into a conversation.

    2. If I become privy to someone trying to "get my goat", I know how to "hide the goats" until the person becomes completely unhinged.

Well... my reasons are more about how the corporation exploits its workers.

    I suppose that's pretentious too.

That's why I try not to shop there, too. Sometimes it's unavoidable because I am, after all, one of the not-so-educated, sometimes-in-need-of-being-washed multitude (AKA a truck driver's wife and the stay-at-home mother of four).

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

I can't stand for my kids to wear tennis shoes with no socks.

    I like macs.

I prefer not to drink generic soda.

I buy Cheer detergent if I have the money.

I refuse to buy RoseArt products because they are crap almost without exception.
