Default Do you ever talk to inanimate objects?

i talk out loud to inanimate objects a lot.

for instance, i say things like:
"hey bookcase, looking good buddy, lookin' sturdy. keep up the good work."
"ahh microwave, baby, you know just how to please me. give me some of that hot lovin'."

does anyone else talk to inanimate objects?

sometimes when i'm drunk i have very long conversations with inanimate objects. i talk and ask them questions and respond as if they are asking me questions. but i only do that if no one else will talk to me.

my current avatar is pretty good.

Often when I buy a replacement, I thank the old one for its hard work. "Thank you, shoes. You did a good job."

    i do that too.

once i had a pair of boots that i wore for several years, and had them repaired several times. for a long time they were the only footwear i owned. they became something of a trademark for me, people recognized them and made jokes, etc.

when they finally became unwearable, i had some friends over and we buried them in my backyard. my apartment manager watched the whole thing in silence from his 3rd floor window. he waited until we were done to bitch at me for digging a hole.

    true story.

When I was little I used to line up my stuffed animals, and talk to them before going to sleep.

^I used to do the same thing. I'd either line them up around my room so that they created a safe zone around my bed, or I'd have my mom surround me with them in bed. I'd go so far as to cry and apologize to them when they would fall off the bed and end up "sleeping" on the floor alone. That's the only time I can recall really talking to inanimate objects though.
There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of the universe.

only all the fucking time I made a death threat to a tortilla chip if it broke on me. It didn't break even though it felt like it was going to, so it works.and then i thanked it for cooperating i also ask things where they are when i'm looking for them.
    In no likes experiment.

    that is all

i dunno what else to say so

I talk to objects, but I'm not as patient or thankful...
