These "inanimate" objects that you speak of...What are they? My computer thinks your a heretic for spreading such lies.

Same. Computers and computers especially. The printer at work usually gets me yelling at it with, "Hurry the f**k up! Pruuunt!"

And objects that are constantly out to thwart me, like buttons on a shirt, are reffered to as "you f**ken thing".

Also when I have bad hayfever and I start sneezing when I'm in the middle of some semi-complicated task, like shaving, I have a tendancy to yell at the actual sneeze itself. Usually it's a dick.

I yell at the TV when someone stupid is on and though they're not inanimate I yell at moths because I hate every single one of them.

And usually after all these outbursts I accuse the entire world of being out to get me.

And legally I'm sane, so what does that say about the legal system?
Why do we always come here?

    I guess we'll never know.

It's like a kind of torture,
To have to watch this show.

I sometimes cursed at the debugger and source code of a computer program while working. I would say they are considered inanimated objects.

Oh, wow. I thought I was the only one. This sounds like something plucked straight out of the book of my childhood. Good to know there are others...

I used to do it a lot as a child... In fact, I used to feel sorry for objects I used to neglect and would say sorry to them... remembering my childhood is like remembering someone else who I can never really relate to.
Nowadays, I just talk to myself. I lost a poker game because I accidentally muttered my cards without realising it.

Of course I talk to inanimate objects. But not computers. Computers have no soul...

    Lame Responses
Toilet: "You look flushed, maybe you should see a doctor."
    Refrigerator: "Chilling out again?"
Stove: "You really burn me up."
Wall: "Hey, I'll meet you at the corner."
Lightswitch: "Oh, you really flipped this time."

... in reality, I think I've only ever talked to cars and computers ... usually when they were not working right and I really wanted to threaten encourage them to do better.

I also talk to dogs and men, but they are only inanimate some of the time.

To trace the remote in the immediate; the eternal in the ephemeral; the past in the present; the infinite in the finite; these are to me the springs of delight and beauty.” ~ H.P. Lovecraft

does anyone else talk to inanimate objects?
    Only in my head.

I do tend to talk to pets and babies eventhough that doesn't really makes sense either.

You know, when inanimate objects start talking back... Maybe it's time to see a certifies shrink, or make a thread on this forum asking if you are normal!
