For me tieing shoes doesn't have to do with left or right shoe first, but whether they both feel similarly snug. It's a drag on my soul when one shoe feels differently than the other. Usually I wear nontie shoes, sandals, slipons, clogs, but ther are those times that I just FEEL the need to wear a more supportive soul, and on those days my attention goes more to the arch than which one is tied up first. Now I will be more cognizant of this in the future, like tomorrow, if I wear lace ups, which foot I lean more towards to begin this exciting venture. I'll have to say, honestly, at this time, I'm not sure which foot I prefer. btw, based merely on principles, I do try to tie my shoes while standing up. (do NOT try this at home, I'm warning you, could be detrimental to your health). Standing on one foot, my left, now that I think of it, was a judgment call I made a few years back. Rather like it, if I do say so myself, retroflectively speaking. Nono it is that I put my shoes ON standing up, I tie them seated, just to clarify.
