I always thought Bostonian accents were cool.

I just realized that I pronounce want, like a softer version of wont in some sentences. Like,"No, I don't wont to", or "Do you wont to?" Ugh!

You`re not Northern, Southern, or Western, you`re just plain -American-. Your national identity is more important than your local identity, because you don`t really have a local identity. You might be from the region in that map, which is defined by this kind of accent, but you could easily not be. Or maybe you just moved around a lot growing up.
I was born and raised in Boston, but I've purposely tried to get rid of the accent (and Boston isn't so heavy on the accent as Greater Boston is; many people don't have one at all). I might slip up sometimes though, and someone asks "Are you from Boston?" Definitely have the Bostonian attitude still.

Which American accent do you have?

    Mid Atlantic

Also known as a "Philadelphia accent" but also heard in south Jersey, Baltimore, and thereabouts.
What does a mid atlantic accent sound like? I find it a little funny considering my accent is distinctly non-american. Or maybe I'm just not asking the questions right.

They caught me. North Central What people call the "Minnesota accent." Sounds almost Canadian. You may have even been asked if you were from Canada before.

Interesting, as Wisconsin is primarily known for its Meen-eh-soo-tah dialects.
