Default Does anyone else have trouble not seeing temperaments like this?

Okay, here's one reason I don't like temperaments... because I can't seem to stop seeing them in these terms, which are too shallow to be really effective:

    Preppie - SJ

    Emo/Goth - NF

    Geek - NT

    Jock - SP

No matter how hard I try, I can't shake the association between them, and can't visualize them any other way.

^ Same. Though, Nerd would be a more efficient term.

Yeah, me too, but I have trouble reading the NF stereotype, and coming away with the impression that NFs are emo/goth types. No matter how many different descriptions of it I read, that's the impression I get.

Def not emo, and never been goth either. How are you coming up with the above?

I'd say of those, I suppose I'm preppy.

^That's true, ENFPs are not really "emo". Usually.

Stereotyping based on visualizing examples of the various temperaments as I read them? You seem to be blurring the lines between individual people who proclaim themselves to be of a particular temperament, and temperament descriptions.
