Default Why Does it Seem Like There's No Older Brother-Younger Sister Siblings on TV?

So it seems like almost every movie, show, etc... there is never an older brother with a younger sister role.

Everything is like... older sister - younger brother, or older sister - younger sister, and not even that many older brother - younger brother figures.

Am I tripping? Or do you notice too? The only one that I can remember is Bart and Lisa Simpson.

What shows nowadays has an older brother - younger sister sibling pairing? Why does it seem like they are so underrepresented?

It's what you are watching..... or what you are picking up with

The Holiday (Jude Law is Kate Winslet's older bro)
    Friends (Ross to Monica)
    Harry Potter - The Weasleys
Peak Practice - Adisons bro is older

and these are just top of mind - and I'm not in the USm half the battle for me was trying to think of US media

Drake & Josh has two older brothers and a little sister. iCarly has an older brother who is her guardian.

These are kind of old, but Party of Five had older brothers and younger sisters. Malcolm in the Middle had a wide range of brothers.

I don't see that. To be honest, not a lot of sibling relationships get shown on television, in general (I think brother-brother gets shown inordinately) outside of kids shows.

Current(ish) shows that I sort of know of featuring sibling relations (not already mentioned): question marks denoting my relative unfamiliarity with the show, asterisks meaning recently off air

    Brothers:
    Supernatural- Winchesters
One Tree Hill- Luke/Nathan Scott, also Dan/Keith Scott
Two and a Half Men- Charlie and Alan
    Numbers
Suite Life on Deck - Zach and Cody
    Heroes- Peter and Nathan Petrelli
    *My Name is Earl
    *Eli Stone

    Sisters:
    Grey's Anatomy- Meredith/Lexie Grey

    Older sister/younger brother:
    Chuck
    New Adventures of Old Christine
? Gossip Girl (Serena/Eric van der Woodson)
    ? American Dad

    Older brother/younger sister:
    Hannah Montana- Jackson/Miley Stewart
    ? Gossip Girl (Dan/Jenny Humphrey)
    ? True Blood (Jason/Sookie Stackhouse)

    All sorts of combos:
Brothers and Sisters- interestingly seems to have all combos well-represented except older brother/younger sister (unless you count the Rebecca arc)
Wizards of Waverly Place- but mostly features the older brother/younger sister
Ugly Betty- mainly Betty/Hilda Suerez as sisters, but also used to have Alex(is)/Daniel Meade as former brothers
    *Dirty Sexy Money
    ? Family Guy
    ? It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (they're male-female twins)

Besides, purely subjective bias speaking, older sisters are awesome.
