That's probably why I have an aversion to the word, myself. It reminds me of the sexist Ferengi...

Anyway, I just thought of an interesting twist on the words in this title. What do you think about sex errors and spelling threads?

    So nyer. Nyer nyer nyer.
That fits clause number 2 in the OP, I think.

If I posted on a German board and in the title I spelled a German word wrong why would I not want it corrected?

I have a swedish friend who just amazes me with his grasp of English. He writes and speaks better English than most American teenagers do nowadays. He's never been out of Sweden. It really has nothing to do with who is better, it's about spelling errors in thread titles.

I think this got too serious, someone make a joke, quick!

Some people mispronounce quiche as quickie. And then wonder why the waiter gets upset with them after they ask for one.

Though technically, that's a pronunciation error and not a spelling error, so it's a little off topic.

Since the Republican party is dead now, hopefully the Ferengi party will rise to power next.

They're both a real downer, but you'll laugh about them later...

I actually do this when I see it (I changed one on Thursday)... but I haven't been around much due to a large crunch at work.

I'm fine with fixing freakin' annoying typos.

Is it that by its indefiniteness it shadows forth the heartless voids and immensities of the universe, and thus stabs us from behind with the thought of annihilation, when beholding the white depths of the milky way?
