In fact, it can get a holistic picture of what you need to do next that you'll be compelled to act on, without quite understanding it, a lot faster than Ne can.
Wow! You're like a genius. You're expressing exactly something I've been figuring out lately. I tend to move other people in a way that I get the best advantage out of a situation without even thinking about it. I also find myself saying witty things without having cooked them up beforehand. My funniest sayings were made up on the fly like that.

For example, someone recently asked me the old tired, "Working hard or hardly working?"

In the next instant I found these words coming out of my mouth, "I'm working hard and it's hardly working!"

Then I thought, dang. I gotta start using that from now on!

That's awesome. Yes, Ni does get used like that, exactly.

One that I came up with on the spot that I still use is, when people say, "What's up?" I tell them, "The opposite of down." Some laugh at it, others don't get it, but I thought it was funny.

haha, that's an even better version than the one I used to use (but I think borrowed from somewhere else): "The ceiling." Yours, though, implies their stupidity. haha, that's pretty good.

    I would say . . .

-You have few, if any, long-term goals, and the ones you do have are vague and subject to change.

-You'll readily believe that things are just as they appear; it seldom occurs to you to try to free yourself from the bias that colors how we see things, and you rarely bother with alternative perspectives.

-(In the presence of Ne) You're focused on stringing together external evidence to get to the truth, and it doesn't occur to you how arbitrary any given interpretation is.

-You have to figure things out through conscious reasoning; it's hard to let the answers come to you or to coax them from your subconscious.

-It's easy to explain your thought processes and you seldom find it hard to justify a belief; your line of reasoning is readily apparent.

-You're skeptical when you "just know" something; you need solid proof.

-(Ni + Je) You find it difficult to think ahead and would rather just go with the flow, adapting to whatever comes up.

I think Nunki made some very good observations for having lousy Ni, but the one that struck me the most was Stellar Renegade's comment about church.

I used to be in a LTR with an SP, and when he would come to church with me I became very annoyed that afterward he didn't seem to "get it" and all he wanted to talk about was what people were wearing, and stuff like that. I never wanted him to come to church with me again after that. I'm sure that was just fine with him, too.

I'm so lousy at Ni that I have no idea what the hell it is.

Knowing where a situation is headed without solid evidence. That's Ni.
I can take a sliver of a situation, and know how it will eventually unfold.

It works well in business and forecasting business trends.
Well-developed Ni can look downright psychic.

I honestly have no clear idea what separates Ni from Ne. Really.
Is it that by its indefiniteness it shadows forth the heartless voids and immensities of the universe, and thus stabs us from behind with the thought of annihilation, when beholding the white depths of the milky way?

Ni settles on a piece of data or events and follows them to completion, through a timeline.

Ne finds two or more pieces of data and percieves connections, similarities and theme's between them.

I think. Could be completely wrong.
