perhaps i'm crazy but money is irrelevant to me. as long as i am not starving my happiness has little to do with money.

owen wilson tried to kill himself, the rich motherfucker... did his money make him happy?

and yes, one example hardly denotes a fact of life, but i think that after a certain point money can't make you happier. if you have the basic necessities it takes more to make life worth living
its so easy to laugh, its so easy to hate...
it takes guts to be gentle and kind

If this is true why do gossip magazines and tabloid newspapers sell so well?

Also, why do so many celebrities end up in rehabilitation if they live their lives in such "ultimate happiness" ?

Because they are twits who don't appreciate what they have got.

The things that would make me happy require money, I want to travel, need money, I want a house that I can call home, need money, I want my kids to have a better future, I need money, I want to study, I need money, I want my son to get better help with his disorder, I need money.

It's all money money money money money.

Not all people with money are dysfunctional you know and not all poor people are happy and content in their lives either.

But Sahara, all that stuff money can buy for you isn't happiness; it's avoiding unhappiness. It's not quite the same thing.

Money makes you happy IFF you don't have to work all day long to get it.

I personally was at my happiest when I could spend all day cycling and playing sports. That was heaven. If I could get money for that, it would be the best thing ever.

Oh and "Money can't buy you love" is also a load of crock too. lol
Money is definitely necessary to have a fulfilling relationship. However, the best results are reached by the perfect balance between time spent on making money, and time spent with S.O.

I don't know if it does or doesn't. I'm willing to be a guinea pig for science, though

That, ladies and gentlemen, is what poor people say to feel better about their situation.

Money doesn't necessarily make everyone happy....

But all things being equal it will generally make you happier.
