Imo it's certainly better to be fit than unfit at any age. Also, special circumstances: she is in the public eye, she has a life-long habit of fitness. We are also not privy to her other habits (i.e. use of substances that may make her veins 'pop').

Ironically (or not) this is also about cutting a woman down over her looks. Is she supposed to be round and dumpy because she's 50?

Of course, it is also a shame when a woman feels she can't visibly age.

    Good point.

I guess my problem with this, or her is that her obsession with her looks is so evident and it's sad.

I know several people who are obsessed with their physical appearance, and I feel bad for them, they are never pleased with how they look, they can always change this, or that, and their futile yet constant attempt to obtain some perfect standard ends up consuming their entire lives.

That's true, I did edit above to say it's a shame when a woman can't age visibly but I think fitness and pushing one's physical limits can be addictive... it's hard to say that she wouldn't look that way even if ageing were not a concern.

I get ticked when tabloids take this route too. It's either look at the size of her arse or omg look how 'mannish' she is. :bleh:

Depending on my mood, tabloids either crack me up, or piss me off.

I steer clear of woman's magazines, they make me angry.

Yup, hate them. They do nothing good for women.

i have no issues with aging. her arms (to me anyway) don't look so much old as they are too thin and muscular. i've seen her body shape change over the years and she just looks too rough atm. also if she had more color her muscle's would look less scary.

Is there some reason why no one will answer my question?
