    I used to be a competitive swimmer. I LOVE water. If the pool is clearly marked, I'll dive right into the water. If we're talking ocean, I'll walk in and look around underneath the water. It's not often that I swim without goggles.

    Yes.

    There are also too many pointless threads about other types, and repeated threads about the functions.

    Unfortunately, this is necessary, because new members would rather start a new thread than use search and do resurrection (which is understandable to me... contributing to an existing thread is a lot more intimidating than contributing to a new one).

    I'm not a very good swimmer at all, so I take the steps slowly, acclimatizing to the cold (unless it's warm water, then I just walk in quick)
