"Bike" by Pink Floyd...it was stuck in there so bad I started singing bits of it in the silences in conversations. So you'd get something like:

Roommate: "Well it's just that her characters are so close to the comic, it makes me wonder if she didn't swipe them."
Me: "I guess you'll just have to talk to her about it."
    Roommate: "Yea....."
    (after a bit of silence)
Me: "I know a mouse who hasn't got a house and I don't know why I call him Gerald...he's getting rather old but he's a good mouse."
    Roommate: "What?"

The expression of confusion on her face was worth it.

I get this song stuck in my head sometimes. (After reading this post I'll probably have it stuck in there again.) I like Pink Floyd, but I like Syd Barrett even better.

Not really a song, but can still lodge in the brain if spoken in a military-style cadence. From "Nothing But Gingerbread Left," a short story by Henry Kuttner, in which an Ohrwurm Solution (earworm) is used to defeat the Nazis by destroying their concentration:

    Left, right, left, right,
Left a wife and seventeen children
    in starving condition
    with nothing but gingerbread
    left, right, left, right.
    (rinse and repeat, repeatedly)

I didn't say that I didn't say it. I said that I didn't say that I said it. I want to make that very clear.

Big rock candy mountain from O Brother Where Art Thou.

"In the Big Rock Candy Mountains all the cops have wooden legs
And the bulldogs all have rubber teeth and the hens lay soft boiled eggs
The farmer's trees are full of fruit and the barns are full of hay
Oh, I'm bound to go where there ain't no snow
Where the rain don't fall and the wind don't blow
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains"

Default What song is stuck in your head

My mind is never quiet, there's always a song or music in it. Just like the title says I wondered what's stuck in everyone's head at the moment.

Unfortunately what's currently stuck in my head is Jingle Bells. I'll be fixing that soon. There's only so much of it I can take...

    So who else?

I once had Over the Rainbow run through run my head for a solid month.

It's always the last extremely awful song I've heard. So Here it goes.

A recent Christmas in July celebration?

The song which is currently stuck in my head is that of an Eastern Screech Owl, which I recently heard for the first time while camping. It sounds like a horse whinney. When I heard it, I had to reassure myself: There is not a horse out there in the woods.
