    Default Stoked for bed

Bed is awesome. I wish bed time was celebrated every night in the same fashion that it was when I was a kid. We'd put on our one-piece, long john style PJs (zipper in the back), march around, and the parents would sing some campy bed-time song that they made up.

Spending 9 hours in the 120 degree heat, with the constant unmerciful sun beating down on your neck messes with your mental health a bit, I think.

    G'night chaps and chapesses.

Bedtime used to be celebrated by us with ritual cleansing followed by dessert from dinner, a race into the room, and half an hour of playing with the condition that we stay in our beds to play.. so we'd play with stuffed animals and books and whatnot. If we didn't play ourselves asleep by then, mom would check in and read to us and ask us questions that made us calm down and think and eventually bore us into sleep. It rocked.

Now, I pretty much do the same thing except replacing dessert with tea, playing with talking on the phone, and I read all by myself now.

It's been only 104 in our parts...and we've been holed up inside. Ouch! Hope you have a nice fan above your bed!
I think I think more than you think I think.

I forgot I was too. Damn senility.

Thanks for the cool breeze, ma'am.

My my kyuuei, aren't you just all grown up. Your bed time ritual sounded like a blast.

My room is quite comfortable, with working A/C and every thing. It's all that's keeping me sane in this God forsaken country.

I could mail you a jar of NC air. It's not very cool, but it does have a slightly piquant smell of gardenia because our shrub is blooming.

Hey Beat, I'm right there with you being stoked for bed! I think something is wrong with me - meaning I wore myself out - and now the deficit for sleep is more than my body can possibly make up for in one night! LAWLZ.

May you dream of wonderful bedtime rituals and thereby get all the benes and none of the precious time taken away from sleep.
