Just a thread for putting in images and links to things you stumble across on the net that you think are cool.
Not meaning you are going to rush out and buy or do these things, just that it looks cool.
Okay, we don’t often cover bathroom gadgets, but this one was too good to pass up: it’s the SmartFaucet touchscreen tap with, wait for it, face recognition!
What’s the point in face recognition on a tap? Well, the beauty is, the tap will ‘recognise’ you, so the next time it sees your fizzog it’ll run you your preferred bath, to the correct temperature an everything!
The SmartFaucet is designed by iHouse, who have kitted it out with a touchscreen that’ll even allow you to check emails while you’re in the bath. Now, we’re not sure that’s a good idea. The bathroom was the last remaining sanctuary where work couldn’t grab us. Next thing you know we’ll be designing PowerPoint presentations on the toilet roll holder!
The SmartFaucet is actually only a prototype for the moment, and while we’re not sure that mix of electricity and water is a good one, we do know that something that runs you a bath just by looking at it is pretty awesome. Now all we need is a girlfriend who’ll bring us a beer just by looking at her. Hmm, wishful thinking…

Remember the LG GD910 – the Dick Tracy/James Bond/Star Trek-style watch phone? Well turns out it wasn’t all just hype, it’s actually coming and it’ll apparently be hitting the Carphone Warehouse and Orange from as soon as next month!
We first clapped eyes on the LG GD910 at CES back in January. It’s only now that LG has got round to giving us a release date for the world’s smallest 3G phone.
Think the LG GD910 is one crazy watch? Then check out these techy timepieces vying for your wrist space…
Aside from that impressive title, the LG GD910 also boasts a 1.4-inch touchscreen, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, text-to-speech capabilities and voice recognition. That’s not to mention Bluetooth capabilities, you know, just in case holding up your wrist to your mouth gets tiring.
With the possibility of video calling as well we’re really excited about the LG GD910. Only snag? It’s slapped a Ł1,000 price tag on it. Still, we’ve seen watches that cost more.

Those shoes sound awesome. The new porsche running shoes
Developed and designed exclusively for the adidas Porsche Design Sport range, the Bounce:S is a whole new cushioning experience. Using a system of metallic springs, it increases energy return and gives you a more efficient ride. Take it for a run and tap into a new level of energy and handling. Like the suspension of a sports car, Bounce:S hugs the pavement, enhancing your feel of the road. When the lever arms are in action, they transfer the vertical impact of your stride into forward propulsion. Whereas traditional shoes drain your energy with thick, dense foam, the Bounce:S suspension system returns more of your energy for a smooth, stable ride.
And just some random coolness.
